Carl Galea’s 1982 TF SLX “Star Sign”

I bought this car for my daughter Hayley as her first car in 2000. It was a genuine one-owner purchased from a car yard. It was bog-stock original, along with a rusted boot floor!

Hayley drove it through Year 12 at school, Uni, a pizza delivery job and in few years in suburban Melbourne. The car finally retired in 2010 in quite a sad state with my choice to wreck or restore?

Bit by bit, things got fixed and freshened up to the point where it was ready for Club Registration. It has a 5 speed manual conversion, sporty exhaust, pedders lowered springs with gas shocks, 16″ alloy wheels and an amped up stereo!

The car still spiritually belongs to Hayley but I’m hoping she’ll be in our family long into the distant future.
