Tony Mifsud’s Car – “Ruby” 1984 TG Sedan

Ruby’s are Red and Violets are Blue, well in this case, Ruby’s colour is Pearl Mica Venetian Red. A timeless colour that is striking in any light.

, as well as a video about Ruby, was set up and promoted on the social media with The Marketing Heaven. It is so immaculately presented it looks like it has just rolled off the show room floor. That is, if Australia had access to the ZZR Gemini on which this TG is based. It sports a tidy G180W, a twin cam, fuel injected G series Isuzu motor that bolts in with little fuss. It is a quiet motor that makes over half the horsepower again of the standard G161 found in domestic Gems. Few Geminis get the love and attention to detail this one has received. Tony purchased the car with the intention of getting it engineered and on the road which was achieved with relatively little fuss. Which goes to show that when it’s done properly, you can get your unique Gemini registered.

Riding in Ruby was like being taken for a drive in a modern car. It hummed along nicely, handled the bumps with little fuss, the cabin noise was at a level that encouraged conversation but didn’t totally dismiss the throaty sound of the engine. Ride comfort is taken care of with Whiteline swaybars, Koni shocks and King springs. The seats and door cards are trimmed in a luxurious Scarlet Connelly hide adding to the modern feel of the interior.

Tony was presented with the Gippsland Gemini Owners Car Club “Car of the Year” Award in both 2017 & 2018.
