DESCRIPTION:As in previous years\, we will be combining with Aussie Torana Legends & HQ Holden Cruise Club of Victoria\, cruising together to attend the: \nEND OF HOLDEN MANUFACTURING CRUISE #3\nOn Sunday 20th October 2019 \nMeeting Points:\n1. BP Eastlink outbound at 7am to depart at 7.30am;\n2. BP outbound Pakenham Bypass\, Officer at 7.50am to depart at 8am. Note: Meeting at the rear car park\, where you can buy your breakfast and Coffee\, inside the Food court. \nThe 3 Clubs will cruise together down Princess Hwy to the Trafalgar Holden Museum. The Cruise will take approx. 50 mins\, ready to arrive at Trafalgar at 8.50am. \nThe Official event will commence from the Holden Museum. Trafalgar from 9am to 1pm then the ROUTE 69 CRUISE AROUND GIPPSLAND will start from the Trafalgar Museum from 1.30pm around Gippsland for those who would like to do so.\nIf you don’t want to do the cruise\, we can cruise back to a Hotel for lunch.

DESCRIPTION:Would you believe it’s that time already!? – the 2019 CAMS Club Challenge for Victoria is here! \nOnce again\, hosted by Gippsland Car Club (GCC) and supported by CAMS at the famous Haunted Hills circuit at Bryant Park (Yallourn North) bringing together CAMS affiliated clubs for a regularity shootout! \nThis is a team event with between 3-5 Gemini’s in a team to challenge against other teams. This will be a new scoring system – the first time it has been tried at Bryant Park – Each participant has the gap between their two fastest runs calculated and then the three smallest gaps from your team are added together. To win\, simply be consistent! See the bottom of this page for the scoring system and frequently asked questions. \nThe event is to be held on Sunday the 22nd of September and it’s our time to put in the great fight to take out the grand prize! The club did very well last time! \nMuch like last year\, we are very keen to see all members of the GGOCC coming to the event! Cheer the team on and see some awesome racing or come as a driver and be a part of it (Just read the guides below). The committee is keen to teach the club how they can prepare and use their cars at a rare event like this. Fly the flag! Entry for spectators is free! \nWe will announce closer to the event any merchandise that is available – all funds will go towards helping our entries to the event! \nThere are spots available on the club team for financial members who would like to bring their cars down and race around this iconic hill climb track. All you need is to be a current financial member of the GGOCC and to hold a CAMS Speed/Speed Junior Licence. You can also purchase day licences before the event. \nNote The GGOCC Committee values all club members and wants to encourage club member involvement\, as such preference will be given to Non-Committee members and those that are in Gemini’s! \nIf you need any guidance on how to apply for your licence\, there are several members within the club and within the GGOCC Committee that have licences and can help. Craig Dutton\, Tim Groen and Martin Edge are able to assist for example. \nStill not sure? Watch one of the club members\, Jeremy Thomas tear it around the track! \nTo enter\, the following conditions must be met; \n\nCurrent CAMS Licence (You can apply for one. Must be completed prior to the event)\nCurrent CAMS Affiliated Club Membership (Financial Member of the GGOCC)\nCAMS Logbook\, Certificate of Description if issued & Road Registration (if applicable).\nYour vehicle will pass the minimum standards required to race (See Prepare for a come and try day for more information)\n\nWe are working through whether we have enough cars for two teams – not just one like last time! Register your interest as soon as possible to make sure you do not miss out! \nAll drivers will need to have registered their interest and paid for their entry fee before the 11th of September! All the excitement of racing from a bygone era returns to Sandown again when the thunderous 5000s\, nimble Formula Fords and exciting Touring cars take to the track at this year’s event on November 9-11. \nUnofficial practice will take place on Friday\, November 9 and it’s free admission to the public for a taste of the action to follow over the weekend. SUMMARY:CAMS Club Challenge 2018 - Haunted Hills\, Bryant Park\, Yallourn
DESCRIPTION:The word is out – the 2018 CAMS Club Challenge for Victoria is here! \nHosted by Gippsland Car Club (GCC) and supported by CAMS at the famous Haunted Hills circuit at Bryant Park (Yallourn North) bringing together CAMS affiliated clubs for a regularity shootout! \nThis is a regulation team relay event with between 3-5 Gemini’s in a team to challenge against other teams. It’s not about driving the fastest\, it is about meeting your set time and working as part of a team. \nIt is to be held on Sunday the 4th of November and will be a ripper of a day of motorsport for the title and cash prizes! \nWe at the GGOCC would like to invite all members and friends to come along show your support and wave the flag for our great club\, let’s get behind our talented drivers and cheer them on! Entry to spectate is FREE! \nFurther information will be provided closer to the date about GGOCC Team Shirts that will be for sale for participants and spectators – so watch this space! \nThere are spots available on the club team for financial members who would like to bring their cars down and race around this iconic hill climb track. All you need is to be a current financial member of the GGOCC and to hold a CAMS Speed/Speed Junior Licence. \nNote The GGOCC Committee values all club members and wants to encourage club member involvement\, as such preference will be given to Non-Committee members and those that are in Gemini’s! \nIf you need any guidance on how to apply for your licence\, there are several members within the club and within the GGOCC Committee that have licences and can help. Craig Dutton and Martin Edge are two of these people for example. \nTo enter\, the following conditions must be met; \n\nCurrent CAMS Licence (You can apply for one. Must be completed prior to the event)\nCurrent CAMS Affiliated Club Membership (Financial Member of the GGOCC)\nCAMS Logbook\, Certificate of Description if issued & Road Registration (if applicable).\nYour vehicle will pass the minimum standards required to race (See Prepare for a come and try day for more information)\n\nThere are five spots available so get in quick! DESCRIPTION:Join the GGOCC and many other Holden Car Clubs cruising firstly to the Old Holden Plant in Dandenong and then to the Trafalgar Holden Museum ready to cruise ‘Route 69’ with all other Holden’s from across the ages. \nIn 2017\, this was an historic event created to mark the end of 69 years of Holden production in Australia. The 2018 event is looking at being a repeat performance. See the attached picture for meeting locations\, with closer meeting spots to cruise together to Dandenong to be advised closer to the event. \nHope you can all make it! 🙂

DESCRIPTION:We at the G.G.O.C.C would like to invite you to the 2nd annual running of our Poker Run. \nWe will be running this in conjunction with the Australia Wide Holden Gemini Meet. \nWe will also this year be running a Black Jack portion of the event for those who are not able to travel the full distance of the event. \nThe event will start at the Stamford Hotel car part in Rowville and make two stops on the way to its last stop at the lovely historic town of Walhulla where you will be given your last two cards. \nThe Black Jack part of the day will consist of one card at the start and your second card at the lunch stop in moe. \nFor lunch we will be having a bbq in moe where the kids can have a sausage and a run around where the adults can have a relaxing chat. Those who would like to cruise back to Melbourne are welcome to at this point. \nWe will then make our way to Walhulla for the last stop where we will announce the lucky winner of $150.

DESCRIPTION:Extra! Extra! Read all about it!\nIt’s that time of year again! After another fantastic year of the GGOCC it’s time to let our mullets fly and the disco balls glimmer. After the brilliant effort from all our members in our cruises\, show and shines\, general gatherings and getting your hands dirty fundraising it’s time for the GGOCC to show our appreciation in a well structured\, coordinated\, well behaved corporate like event. \n  \nNOT THIS TIME!! \nTo mark our 3rd Annual General Meeting\, we are going to put on a bit of a bash!! A night to award and celebrate the winners and the year past – and a night to celebrate the era of the Gemini long past – the 70’s and 80’s… Yes this year we have a theme – 70’s and 80’s fancy dress and of all things Gemini! It will be really ACE!! \nBrill cream that mullet and if you aren’t folically advantaged – put on the ‘fro wig! \nIf your wardrobe is lucky enough drag that bell bottomed safari suit and the 2 inch wide leather belt out of moth balls and get it cleaned!! Maybe even raid the parents closet! We expect to hear complaints from the local op-shops and fancy dress parlours!! \nOne Day Cricket in coloured cloths\, a boat with a funny keel\, really short tennis shorts!\, an oil crisis (why we have a Gemini) and don’t forget Olivia Newton John and that Lycra body suit!!!!!!!!! Take a ‘trip’ back in time for a fancy dress night like nothing else!! \nGrab your partner\, grab someone else’s!!\, and be at the best party (with some boring stuff chucked in)\, that the club will have all year!! Giant wigs\, giant shoes!! who knows what you will see!! \nLook out for your invitation in your membership renewal pack\, send the RSVP back asap so we know who’s coming!! and for a pleasant surprise…….. \nNote: The cost per ticket has nearly halved this year! The clubs way of giving back to our members is by providing the same great food and service at a well earned discounted price! So there is no excuse for anyone to miss out on the best night of the year!! \nSee You There!!

This time\, when you fill in the attached form (Entry form)\, and pay the entry cost\, you too can cut a few laps like a racer!! \nThere is tuition available\, AT NO CHARGE! on the day and as always\, heaps of club members around for support\, encouragement and guidance.  \nIf you have ever wanted to just ‘have a go’ and see what it’s like\, or want to fulfil that life-long dream of driving your car around a race track – here is your very real opportunity! No fancy race licence required\, no expensive race car and trailer. Just you\, your car\, and the track! \n \nRemember\, not everyone can say they put themselves and their car to the test around a race track…… You will never forget it\, not ever!! \nNOTE: Entry payment and entry form are required to be submitted before the day of the event. There is a minimal cost of a day track licence that will need to be paid on the day\, this covers insurances for the track. Your car will need to conform to Schedule A and Schedule B of the current CAMS Manual of Motorsport. DESCRIPTION:IT’S FUNDRAISING TIME!!!!!! \nYes its that time of year again where we get up really early and drive to Sandown and lend a hand to the club. It’s time to roll up those sleeves and cook all those sausages and eggs and bacon for all the hungry competitors at the Super Sprint. \nWe have never struggled to get people involved in this very important task. We are very proud to see so many truly support the GGOCC with a bit of elbow grease!. Come help the club raise some badly need funds. And maybe eat a few snags while your at it! \nMembers will again have the opportunity to park their cars on the apron behind the shed on display\, and well you never know your luck beyond that. \nAlso remember that this is one of the opportunities for the Club Permit people to bring their pride and joy out and tick off one of those mandatory appearances!! Plus its a great opportunity to just catch up with other members.
